Yes, but it would look a little silly, wouldn't it? [Mipha laughs, immediately calling him out on that!! But--] But, I suppose I wouldn't mind staying this size a while longer for you. I like being in your arms. [You know, since it'd just be easier for him to carry her like this.
But the cute moment is semi-ruined when she sees Sidon. Mipha almost calls out to him before she remembers they're particularly invisible in this memory; her hand tightens a little on Mephisto's as Sidon stops before the statue. The plaza's mostly cleared out now except for the guards who studiously ignore the prince to give him his privacy.
She speaks softly, watching as Sidon stares up at her statue.] My leaving... Was very hard on him. He was so young...
[There's a soft noise of amusement, not quite a laugh]
I was quite hard on him when he was little. I'm a little worried about what pressure my... passing had on him, but... He's grown up well. I'm proud of him. [She looks away, shaking her head.] I hope to make up for all those years without each other.
[A pause, and though Mipha knows better than to doubt her brother, there's still a little concern as she hesitantly asks] He's... Not upset with me, is he? For leaving, for making him grow up too quickly...?
[She's quiet for a long moment, before giving his hand a squeeze.]
...I suppose you may be right. How can I doubt you when you say it like that? [She gazes out quietly at Sidon for a few seconds longer before she turns away, giving Mephisto's hand a light tug.]
Come. The throne room is up the stairs. Seeing him is going to hurt even more, but I... suppose I should get it over with... ['Him' being her father.]
[He's the most magical wizard who ever lived, shush.]
Oh no-- this is simply something I've always been able to do. Unfortunately, as far as teaching goes, there are certain limits to what I can offer. Although I've certainly learned a few spells here in this world, most of what I teach are merely recreations of my own natural abilities using this world's magic instead -- some of which I'm still researching how to replicate.
[Did he mention he was one of the magic teachers here?? Well now she knows!]
[He also might be trying to sell it a little, if only because the idea of teaching yet another one of Slaine's princess girlfriends magic sounds like a really fun way to mess with him. He's such a good friend.]
Not that most can tell the difference, of course. But I suppose you could say there's a difference between one who knows magic, and one who is a magical being.
[Dear, sweet, innocent Princess Asseylum, not even suspecting once that Slaine's Wonderful Friend has such ulterior motives. He's got this in the bag, because even if you're not a starstruck princess, who doesn't want to learn a magic spell or two? Based on what he is saying, however, it sounds like some people are gifted with more potential for magic than others. Where would she fit in? Her hopes sink, just a little, but she tries to keep them afloat. She hasn't even given it a try yet, so she could still have a knack for it.
His final statement stokes the furnace of her thoughts, which are following everything Mephisto says with eager fascination.]
Which one would you consider yourself? Are you a magical being?
[He pretends to think on this for a moment moments before leaning down to be closer to her level, cupping a hand over his cheek and talking in a softer voice, as if telling a secret. But there's laughter on the edge of his voice, as if that secret probably isn't anything too serious.]

Mipha
[Hold on, he needs a moment to picture this.]

Why, I'm sure I could carry Sidon in the same fashion if the need ever arose.
[IT WOULD LOOK EXTRA STUPID but he could definitely still do it, even if he had to cheat and just float her over his arms.]
[Also hey, speak of the devil-- is that Sidon walking along one of the pathways towards the city center?]

[Ah. But probably not the right mood for it. He returns that squeeze of his hand with a reassuring one of his own.]
...I can tell just how fond he is of you. Why, I'd say you've occupied well over 80% of the few conversations we've had.

[He gestures back towards Sidon, whose gaze remains locked on the statue.]
Surely he wouldn't be looking upon you with such reverence in his eyes if he were at all resentful.

Lady Asseylum... can you keep a secret?

I can! [psst psst softer voices] What is it, Sir Mephisto?
